Nam Cat Tien National Park is truly a treasure trove of biodiversity in Vietnam. A 3-day tour discovering Nam Cat Tien National Park lets you discover one of the largest tropical forests of Southern Vietnam. Launched in recognition of Cat Tien’s unique wildlife, the National Park houses some of the world’s most endangered species. This tailor-made tour brings you a 2-hour night cruise in to the jungle, in a jeep, allows travelers to get into the feeling of watching wild animals and listen to the calls of rhinoceros.
This morning, our tour guide will meet you at the hotel and we will leave for Nam Cat Tien National Park which is 170km away from Ho Chi Minh City.
We drive through large areas of rubber plantations before branching off the highway on a rough track to the national park.
When we reach Nam Cat Tien National Park, you will see an amazing diversity of birds and mammals that live in the forest and wetland habitats of Nam Cat Tien, consisting of an estimated 230 species of birds, endangered birds to be found here in their dinner.
Later, in the afternoon, we spend time on birding along the road from the park headquarters. Get into our typical dinner of Southern Vietnam & admire some animals at headquarters. Overnight in Nam Cat Tien National Park.
Have breakfast and we discover the forest by bike to marvel at the beauty of Heaven waterfall and botanical garden.
After that, enjoy our lunch. Later, in the afternoon we take a 6-km drive through the forest to witness species listed in the World Red Book. Those can be seen here consist of Bronze-winged Jacana, lesser adjutant, as well as Purple Heron.
Green Peafowl by Crocodile Lake. In the forest, you may look out for Red and Black and Banded Broadbill, Orange-breasted Trogon and Pale-headed Woodpecker amongst others. Overnight in Crocodile Lake.
Today, we wake up early to listen to the beautiful melodies of native birds.
Breakfast prepared for another 4-hour trek to witness the Crocodiles swamp and then, we back to the National Park headquarter for our lunch.
Then, we get on our vehicle for heading back to Saigon. The trip ends. Hope you enjoyed it.
