Enjoying the 14-day Myanmar classic tour seems to be a trip to a mysterious nation of Myanmar aka Burma which often feels like setting foot on a foreign, pristine planet. Today, we travel through the delta and over the Sittang River to reach Kin Pun, from where the pilgrimage road runs 10 km to the 1200m high pagoda on the renowned Golden Rock. We set on a typical Myanmar passenger truck to drive upward the mountain. Then, we hike a short distance to reach the Golden Rock Pagoda.

This morning, enjoy breakfast and we then take a drive back to Yangon. En route, we stop in Mingaladon to marvel at reclining Buddha or the Htauk Kyant War memorial.

Breakfast and morning at leisure until getting a flight to Mandalay. Once there, we head to the well-known Golden Monastery aka Shwenandaw. Next, we visit Kuthodaw Pagoda and admire its 729 marble slabs representing the entire Buddhist canon.
Have lunch and then, make our way to Mahamuni temple which is home to the most sacred Buddha image of Myanmar (the 3.5m tall bronze and gold leaf Arakan Buddha). After that, we go to the workshops of gold leaf and marble carves. You can choose to climb up the top of Mandalay Hill to reach a bird’s eye view and pay a visit to the Shwe Kyin Monastery for marveling at the glorious sunset scenery.

Today, we head to the former capital of Amarapura – means Beautiful Town in Sanskrit. We walk over the longest teak bridge in the world – U bein and then, we reach Sagaing Hill for stunning vistas over the pagodas as well as monasteries dotting the landscape down to the Ayeyarwady River.
In the afternoon, we board on a boat along the poetic Ayeyarwady to enjoy the sights of the daily life along the riverbank, washerwomen, and buffalo carts.
We pay a visit to the Mingun village before heading back to Mandalay for a leisure evening.

Today, breakfast and morning at leisure until getting escorted to ancient Bagan. Your guide will pick you up to the hotel for check-in.

Overnight in Bagan.
Today, we stroll through the market place of Nyaung Oo and get an insight into the lifestyle of the locals. We also head to Shwezigon Pagoda which is the only golden pagoda in Bagan. Our journey goes on, we come to the Kyanzitha Umin caves. We then go to Gubyaukgyi which is a perfect India-style temple. You can witness hundreds of frescoes which illustrates stories of the Buddha.
Later, we visit the huge Htilominlo Temple and then, in the afternoon, before checking out the elaborate stone which engraves at Nanpaya Temple, we discover Manuha Temple. Travel to the south to marvel at the stunning Abeyadama Temple and then, the Lawkanada Pagoda.
Also, we visit traditional manufactures of unique Bagan lacquerware and take a break at one of the pagodas when the sunlight goes out.

Today, we have a free day to relax and refresh ourselves. If you travel to Bagan – Myanmar from 1st Oct – 31st March, you can opt to take a hot air balloon ride in Bagan because this is the best time to do such a thrilling and fascinating activity.

Leave Bagan behind and we drive to Kalaw. We pass through sun-parched plains which are sprinkled with Palmyra palms to the Mountain of Deities – Popa. Take steps upward a staircase to the huge volcanic rock to admire shrines for Nats (known as celestial spirits of Myanmar mythology) as well as small temples dedicated to the Buddha. On our way of reaching the destination, we pass through many shops and food stalls.

This morning, we discover the countryside while immersing the cooling air at a high altitude (1320m above sea level). We pass through the tea plantations, tribal villages, and citrus groves.
Later, freely explore Kalaw.

This day, morning at leisure. You can opt to visit Kalaw market to bump into the locals’ daily life or head to Aung Chan Tha Zedi and meet the sparkling silver and gold glass mosaics. You also can head to Hnee Pagoda to admire the 500-year-old bamboo, Buddha.
Enjoy lunch and then, board on a local train to Inle Lake.

Today, we travel through a small creek by sailing a longtail boat. This scenic boat tour takes us to Indein at the western end of the Lake, from where you can see farmers cultivate their product. Our journey goes on to the poetic floating villages and we investigate the great Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda along with its 5 sacred Buddha images.
