While there has been no formal statement from the Laos Immigration Department, we have recently encountered challenges with group travel involving Indian passport holders. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey for all our guests, we have outlined a tentative procedure for visa and entry requirements specifically for the Indian market. We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines to facilitate a streamlined travel process.

Updated Visa Requirements for Indian Passport Holders Traveling to Laos

To enter Laos, Indian passport holders are now required to obtain a visa in advance. Below is a detailed list of the necessary documentation to support the visa application process:

Documents to be provided by the local travel company in Laos:

As a fully licensed travel company in Laos, we are dedicated to assisting you every step of the way. We will provide the following documents:

• Telex Document: Issued in conjunction with your tour confirmation to support your visa application.

• Invitation Letter: A formal letter issued by our trusted travel company in Laos.

• Approval Letter: Obtained from the Laos Immigration Department to ensure compliance with entry regulations.

Documents to be provided by the clients:

To complete the visa application process, we kindly request travelers to provide the following:

• Valid Visa for the Next Destination: Proof of a valid visa for the next country on your travel itinerary.

• Round-Trip Air Tickets: Confirmation of flights to and from Laos to demonstrate your travel plans.

• Cash Requirement: A minimum of USD 1,000 per person in cash may be required upon entry. While this is typically mandatory for Group Inclusive Tours (GIT), it may not always apply to Free Independent Traveler (FIT) groups. We recommend preparing this amount to avoid any inconvenience.
