Tour Route: Taipei – Hualien – Taitung – Hualien – Taroko Gorge – Taipei
The 5-day Taiwan Classic Tour brings you to well-known scenic spots and hidden gems alike. Along the way we’ll experience awe-inspiring scenery (including Taroko Gorge and the Rift Valley), visit the villages of indigenous tribes who’ve called this land home for thousands of years, strive tasty meals and have manifold opportunities for leisure and outdoor activities including bicycling, boating, and hiking through the awe-inspiring terrain for which the area is justly known.
Between the bucolic splendor, it is also a chance for us to make time discovering Hualien and Taitung which are the two of the east coast’s largest cities. Although equally laid back, both cities boast their own unique cultural caches.
Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to warmly greet you and we will make our way heading down the spectacular east coast to Hualien county where we will pay a visit to the charming pebble-strewn beach with its renowned blue water just before going inland to Liyu Lake where we can enjoy swimming, hiking, or walking around the lake. Next, we take our step into the chilled-out Hualien City where we immerse ourselves in nature, poetry, and art-filled Pine Garden Heritage site. Later, we come to the hotel for check-in and spend our evening tasting local food and witnessing street performances at the Dongdamen night market. Our tour itinerary today includes:
Today, make our way south down the coast and stop at several times en route checking out the regions astonishingly various coastal terrain. We visit Baxian aka “eight deities” caves which are known for its both geological features as well as religious iconography. Keep driving further down the coast and stop for a hike in Sanxiantal. Later, in the afternoon, we head to the Dulan town which is renowned for its tribal artists which surf vista as well as a laid-back vibe. Finally, we stop at the Sugar Factory. On day three we’ll visit a most unusual museum, one made not of brick and glass but of interconnected trees, part of a forest preserve maintained and protected by members of the local Bunun tribe. Today, we begin with the trek back north, pass through the impressive Rift Valley. On our journey driving through the coastal mountains to the east and the central to the west, we pass through several most beautiful landscape of Taiwan Activities for today include a bicycle ride through the rice paddies in Chishang, a visit to the Tropic of Cancer Marker, and fresh ice cream at the Guangfu Sugar Factory. Later, we drive back to Hualien to strive local snacks at the Hualien Golden Triangle Shopping District just before heading to the hotel for check-in. Our tour itinerary today includes: Breakfast – Pretty drive upwards the rift valley – Cycling through the paddy fields of the Chihshang Bicycle Trail – Lunch at Chishang – Visit the Tropic of Cancer Marker – Snacks at the Golden Triangle Shopping District – Overnight at the Classic 3-star Hotel Day Plus in Hualien.
Our last day enjoy Taiwan Classic Tour. We first visit Taroko Gorge and get some time discovering the place which is called Grand Canyon of Taiwan. Our journey keeps going on with a drive through a picturesque road carved into the canyon walls and then, stop for lunch. After that, we had to a temple, shrine or waterfall and a hike as well.
